Dressing the Topeng men of Bali.

It's a long and intricate dressing process. Watch as our friend Tangkas prepares for a very special dance on a very special occasion. Chuck and I were privileged enough to be invited to the last day of ceremony for his grandmother's passing.

Topeng is a dramatic form of Indonesian dance where one or more mask-wearing, ornately costumed performers interpret traditional narratives about fabled kings, heroes and myths, accompanied by gamelan music.
