THE HARDEST METAL ART PROJECT YET! (I ALMOST QUIT!)

This was the HARDEST Metal Art project I've ever done... hands down. Its rare that when I finally arc on to a Tig Welding Art project, that I consider tapping out, but I thought about doing exactly that several times in this project. This episode marks ONE FULL YEAR since my first episode on my channel, and I couldn't have picked a better one to mark the day with. This video captures some amazing moments in the process of the creation of this piece, but unfortunately doesn't truly show the soul I poured into it for over two months. TWO MONTHS. There was nights when I would go to bed bothered by a mistake I'd made, or something that didn't turn out the way I needed it to, and I'd toss and turn until Id get out of bed and head back into the studio to get immersed behind my mask working on it. But after weeks and weeks, it started to turn into its own personality, entity, whatever you want to call it. If you had shown it to me before I started, I would have been shocked. It turned into its own thing COMPLETELY on its own, and it wasn't at all what I was planning. That's what happens with art. And it's the best thing ever. With Tig Welding, you are supposed to follow procedure. Drawings. Measured and tested perameters and use specific settings and technique. But in these art projects, I get to break every rule in the book, and I unapologetically do so. And this is turning out to be the best thing Ive ever worked at.
