I always wished my Raspberry Pi would have come with a 360K floppy drive...

I wanted to add a 360K floppy drive to my raspberry pi, so I threw together a circuit using the popular WD37C65 controller IC together with a Tandom TM100-2A floppy drive, the same drive that would have been used in the original IBM PC. Using this I'm able to format, read, and write 360K floppy disks from a python program running on the raspberry pi. The same controller can also be connected to a 1.44MB 3.5" drive and rewrite high density disks. For more electronics projects, see http://www.smbaker.com/
