Bath Bomb World Basic Bath Bomb Recipe
625g Bicarbanate Of Soda
325g Citric Acid
50g Epsom Salts
20g Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate
20g Kaolin Clay
10g Cornstarch
10g Creme of Tarter
10mls Sweet Almond Oil
15mls Fragrance Oil
5 mls Poysorbate 80
1 tsp Mica Powder
10mls Witch Hazel for Spritzing
For best results grind epsom salts and citric acid in a food processor and then sieve with all dry ingredients into a large bowl making sure there are no lumps.
Mix wet ingredients: 10mls Sweet Almond Oil and 15mls fragrance oil 5 mls Polysorbate 80 in a small glass and mix well, then add to your dry ingredients. It is important that you add the correct amount of liquid so the mix is not too wet, or too dry and holds together, when squeezed, like damp sand. If you find your mix too dry, spray with witch hazel
Add Mica colouring to your mix. If you are using more than one colour in your bath bombs, separate the mix into individual batches and then add the colours. Add inbeds if using them and fill your mould to the top, making sure not to press and fill too firmly, as this will make your bath bombs sink when placed into the water and push down on the leaver Allow too dry for at least 24-48 hours until your bath bombs are solid.
