Britt Gully - Any Place in Dixie's Home to Me

Mississippi's own Britt Gully, from the stage of The Sucarnochee Revue, 1/5/18. Britt has written many songs, but this one is my favorite. It has two of the best lines any songwriter could hope for..."I ain't saying it's the only place that's worthy, I'm just saying it's the only place for me. I want to sit out on that front porch and feel that Southern breeze, cause any place in Dixie's home to me" and "I don't complain when she's hot or when she's humid, 'cause my engine runs on Louisiana steam" I wish I had written those.

Salute to my fellow Kemper countian, to Cow Creek from high atop the Wilcox Anti-cline...my long-time compadre on The Sucarnochee Revue; Britt Gully is the real deal.
