Art journaling - Mermay 2021 | Mixed media layers with die cuts & Lindy's Starburst sprays

I had to create an art journal page for Mermay. I wish I had the time to commit to creating a page every day with the Jane Davenport Mermay prompts. So instead I create one page in dedication to Mermay every year! The Jane Davenport supplies I used is her large watercolor paper journal and her metal die Sea Flowers. The other dies I created with my Cricut explore air 2 along with the mermaid scale stencil. The photo is downloaded from Unsplash (credit in supplies list) and I just loved the mermaid feel of it! To create some texture similar to real starfish and sea horses I used grit paste on the die cuts. They really did have the look and feel of the real thing.
