Terror Street Pt28 – Hot Air Balloon

A Victorian style Hot Air Balloon from Around the World in Eighty Days. Phileas Fogg tries to circumnavigate the World in this 1873 story written by Jules Verne. Here is my little tribute to him of this layout. It is a very subtle addition.

Made from a ping-pong ball, a thimble as a basket, some netting to go around the spherical shaped balloon of those days, and a rubber washer and some stretched sprue. This is actually a very quick one hour job to make this simple construction. It could do with a couple of little sandbags really.
