Kumasi Largest Central Market Project Construction Progresses With Speed As All Equipment Arrives

Line 4 has had a very productive weekend working on our export project for Kumasi Central Market Phase 2, Ghana.

We are currently fabricating steelwork for the roof area of the shopping centre. This part of the structure is lighter but there are still substantial connections due to the extra loads generated in this earthquake region.

Six container loads will be leaving Grangemouth on a Container Ship this week for the port of Tema in Ghana where they will then be transported to the major redevelopment site in the city of Kumasi.
The market will contain 6,500 market spaces, 5,400 cold stores, 800 kiosks, 50 restaurants, 210 stalls for fishmongers and butchers, 40 livestock stalls, a police station, fire station, post office and hospital.

The shopping centre will promote economic growth and provide a boost to the tourism sector within North Ghana.
