this is my first video with these kitties, but these are some of my cats from my Mojave desert Clans :3 the main character is Saltburn, the butch with a mullet. in the far past a clan called MoonClan of all white, thin furred cats seeks shelter from the sun in an abandoned mineshaft and over the generation adapt/mutate to their underground home, resulting in large sensitive eyes and bald patches among other things. saltkit is born to chalknose and bonestar and besides a small bald spot on her nose, she looks surprisingly normal, even having a darkish coat. her father steals her away in the night and gives her to the saguaroclan healer making him promise to give her a good life and never let her know of her heritage. saltburn grows up and gets married to a marshclan cat named hollowspur, known for her crazy weird ingrown dewclaws, and they seek shelter from a flash flood in a small tunnel in the side of the old mountain (i did not include the storm in this vid bc it did not fit with the theme)

meanwhile, healer wisplight, her estranged sister, says goodbye to her mentor cliffbird and as he dies he reveals that her sister is still alive. wisplight tells her brother archray, who is already weird because he's obsessed with the sun, even though he cant go out in it for very long, and they venture to the edge of the mine to go look for their sister...
