Billy Ocean Suddenly / Caribbean Queen Live 2016

R&B star Billy Ocean appeared on late-night television on January 26, 2016 to sing a medley of two of his greatest hits: “Suddenly” and “Caribbean Queen.” Both tracks appear on Billy Ocean’s 1984 album Suddenly and are considered the British Trinidadian-born singer’s most popular songs. “Caribbean Queen” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984 and won the 1985 Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance; “Suddenly” peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100.

Billy Ocean's TV performance would prelude the singer’s new album, due out this year. He last released a full-length collection, Here You Are, in 2013. Billy Ocean will tour Europe this year.
