Margo Claire Erlam is a Canadian diver in the 1 and 3 meter springboard events. Erlam trains at the Saskatoon Diving Club.
Margo Erlam qualified to make her Olympic debut at Paris 2024 when she won the women’s 3m springboard event at the Canadian Diving Trials in May 2024. With an outstanding final dive, she defeated two-time Olympian and world championship medalist Pamela Ware.

She was born on June 18, 2002 in Calgary, Al’berta, Canada. She’s 22 years old now. She’s a beautiful girl.

Biography
Erlam and her older sister Martine loved the water during summers spent boating in Montana.
Martine started diving at 6 years old, and Margo, who is two years younger, also joined Dive Calgary.
At the age of 16, Erlam made the difficult decision to leave Calgary and move to Saskatoon where she now works with Olympian Mary Carroll at the Saskatoon Diving Club. Erlam initially lived with Olympian Rylan Wiens’ family for a year-and-a-half before getting her own place at 17.
Erlam was a member of the junior national team and won various junior national titles, including the platform title (group A) in July 2019, before joining the senior national team.
She represented Canada at the Pan American Junior Championships 2015 where she won gold on 3m as well as at the 2016 and 2018 World Junior championships.
Erlam's first top-three finish in international senior competition was in Calgary at a FINA Diving Grand Prix in 2018. Erlam won silver in the 3m synchro event.
One of Erlam’s proudest moments in the sport came in front of friends and family in Saskatoon when she won the 1m and 3m springboard events at 2022 Winter Nationals.
In June of 2022, Erlam won two gold medals at the FINA Diving Grand Prix in Calgary. She teamed up with Mia Vallée in women’s 3m synchro and Bryden Hattie in mixed 3m synchro. Erlam participated in a preparatory event for the 19th FINA World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Erlam competed in three events, achieving a 5th place finish in the 3m synchro event with Vallée.
Erlam and Vallée won a bronze medal in the 3m synchro event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
Margo Erlam continues the great western tradition of national team divers emerging from Alberta and Saskatchewan to find a foothold on the international stage.
She is studying sociology at the University of Saskatchewan.
Career
Erlam made her national team debut at the 2017 FINA Grand Prix held in Puerto Rico.
At the 2022 FINA Grand Prix in Calgary, Erlam and her partner Mia Vallée won the gold medal in the 3 metres synchro event, in their second competition together.
Erlam's strong performances in 2022 led her to be named to 2022 World Aquatics Championships team.
After not winning any medals in her first two events at the Championships, Erlam finished the event with a fifth place finish in the synchro 3 m event with partner Mia Vallée.
In June 2022, Erlam was named to Canada's 2022 Commonwealth Games team.
