AMERICAN PHAROAH'S 2015 TRIPLE CROWN WINS: KENTUCKY DERBY

Champion US racehorse American Pharoah became the 12th horse in racing history to win America's prestigious Triple Crown; The 2015 Kentucky Derby, 2015 Preakness Stakes and 2015 Belmont Stakes.

American Pharoah only suffered two career defeats, one at the hands of Om at Del Mar Racetrack in 2014 when on debut and the other against Keen Ice in the Grade 1 Travers Stakes at Saratoga Racetrack.

Trained by master US conditioner Bob Baffert and ridden by Hall of Fame jockey Victor Espinoza, the son of Pioneerof the Nile claimed eight G1 wins and nine victories in an 11-start career.

American Pharoah now stands at one of the biggest breeding operations in the world - Coolmore Stud - as a dual-Hemisphere stallion, shuttling between Australia and the United States of America.
