Burger Baron is a rogue fast-food chain with mysterious origins and a cult following, run by a loose network of fiercely independent Arab Canadian immigrants (Edmonton, AB).

The Last Baron captures the culture, influence and aspirations of Lebanese-Canadian immigrants manifested through Burger Baron, a rogue fast-food chain likened to a mafia.
Writer/director Omar Mouallem, son of former Burger Baron owners, drives across rural Alberta where the institution still exists, despite the organization’s many dysfunctions, to unearth its mysterious origins.
