1954 Seeburg HF100R/D 45 RPM Jukebox & Wallbox In Action

This Seeburg jukebox is commonly referred to as a "Bandshell" model for obvious reasons. It was the only monaural jukebox made with a 5 speaker compliment and, lest I be incorrect, the first Seeburg jukebox made in High Fidelity. The earliest Seeburg made in Hi-Fi was the Console Library unit in 1953 which can be seen in another of my videos. This model is a 50 record, 100 play model and was probably the best sounding MONAURAL jukebox designed. This Seeburg has a stepper built-in, as most Seeburgs did, to allow the use of a wallbox which I have connected to this juke. I added a micro switch to the wallbox to allow bypassing the coin operation which sets the box for 3 plays by pressing the coin reject button just the same as if you put in a quarter. In fact, the box still operates correctly by placing your coins in the slot. As a result, when I have company I manage to get a dime or quarter out of them!! I also have the correct remote volume/cancel accessory attached to this as well. The amp & receiver have been rebuilt and I added a much better Pickering 345-03D cartridge and the sound is nothing short of spectacular! The box has NOT been refinished and is in remarkable condition considering the age - 57 years old! Enjoy this beautiful and fascinating piece of 1950's history!!
