Criost Liom Gaelic and English (St Patrick's Breastplate - Lúireach Phádraig)

Tradition has it that this is what Saint Patrick would pray when going to meet his enemies.
Reblogged from Dagda, although I originally have it from a Celtic Woman CD. This song is too nice to simply leave to itself, as hardly any listeners will have any idea what Karen Tracey is singing about. Besides which, it deserves to be sung, and for most people this will have to be done in English, as there is no way they are going to get their Irish Gælic pronunciation right!
I have tried to match the text in Gælic with what Karen T sings, and I think I got it right, except for one place. Whatever she is singing, it is clearly not "Criost i ngeach dune" but probably "Críost i ngach súil a fhéachann orm," (Christ be in every eye that sees me).
