Another look at the parallel transport of a vector

The idea of the parallel transport of a vector along a given parametrized path in a curved space is investigated. Use of the directional derivative will be made to determine the condition for the parallel transport of a vector. The parallel transport of a vector involves holding it constant in magnitude and direction as it is moved in some given direction, in this case the direction of the tangent vector. This constancy of magnitude and direction is expressed through the condition that the derivative of the vector is set equal to zero.
