About the Guest:
Paul McCusker is a writer and dramatist, best known for his work on the long-running children’s audio program Adventures in Odyssey and award-winning Radio Theatre productions for Focus on the Family and the Augustine Institute. His audio drama work includes Brother Francis: The Barefoot Saint of Assisi (winner of the 2018 Audie Award for Best Audio Drama), The Trials of Saint Patrick, Ode to Saint Cecilia, and The Legends of Robin Hood for the Augustine Institute. For Focus on the Family Radio Theatre, Paul dramatized and directed the Peabody Award-winning Dietrich Bonhoeffer: The Cost of Freedom, all seven stories in the Chronicles of Narnia, plus many other productions including A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, The Screwtape Letters, C.S. Lewis at War, and the original productions of the Father Gilbert Mysteries (audio and novels), and The Luke Reports: Eyewitness Accounts of the Life of Jesus. Paul is currently senior director of Creative Content for the Augustine Institute in Denver. He lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, son, and daughter.

The Trials of Saint Patrick is a compelling adventure of Saint Patrick’s suffering, miracles, friendships, and relationship with God. After being sold into slavery at age sixteen, Saint Patrick had a reversion to the Catholic Faith. Saint Patrick believed that God used his enslavement and suffering as a means to bring him to true freedom in the Gospel. The saint eventually escaped slavery and returned home. In his freedom, Saint Patrick was called by God to return to his country of enslavement and bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the pagan nation of Ireland. Saint Patrick is an inspirational saint for our times, giving us hope and zeal to evangelize cultures in most need of God.
