Introducing our head UHAmi Servo-Drive High-Speed

UHAmi Servo-Drive High-Speed - the most advanced head we have . It allows you to take the full advantage of an automatic head - it is universal, precise, fast and capable of doing continuous 5-axis machining. The head is universal - it has two positioning axes, both are type “servo-drive” - there are two motors with pinions at each axis to do the positioning. The positioning is faster in the sense that both axes may be positioned at the same time and positioning is independent from revolutions of the main spindle.
This head is unique also in one other way - the maximum spindle speed is 5,000 rpm! There is a special type of lubrication of drive wheels - by oil mist, since grease lubrication would not be effective at such high speed. And the bearings for the drive - here we use hybrid bearings that are slightly lighter and more thermally stable and in addition they keep their chill by an oil-cooling unit, very much like bearings of the headstock.
