The Shirelles - Mama Said

Founded in 1957 at their high school talent show, The Shirelles achieved success in the early 1960s with songs such as "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" which topped the US Billboard Charts.

"Mama Said" became a top ten hit on both the US Billboard Charts and the US Hot R&B Charts, reaching #4 and #2, respectively. It was also the inspiration for "Days Like This" by Van Morrison.

This performance was recorded live at Little Darlin's Rock 'n' Roll Palace, in Kissimmee, Florida.
