Kicking Horse & Crowsnest Layout - Track Plan, Walk Through

First look and overview of the HO scale Kicking Horse & Crowsnest Layout built by my friend Scott. This triple deck layout features an innovative central helix with reverse loops on all three levels. Modelled area is Canadian Pacific in Southern Alberta and British Columbia along the Kicking Horse & Crownest Passes. There is also a large yard based on Lethbridge, Alberta. Industries served are a legacy grain elevator siding and more modern Inland Terminal with set off tracks.
I was blown away by the design and how he maximized the use of his space to create a lot of interesting operational possibilities centred around mainline trains. There are trains constantly coming out of tunnels and from behind cleverly disguised view blocks. I hope you enjoy this walk through and special thanks to Scott for helping me put together a track plan which I think is crucial to understanding how this layout operates.
