C4 Labs DRPi-3.5NSX Nextion Screen Case - Build Video

This is a comprehinsive build video of the C4 Labs DRPi-3.5NSX Nextion Screen Case using a Raspberry Pi 3 B+, and an AURSINC MMDVM Duplex Hat. (Links to everything shown in this video below). The video is geared toward the beginner but anybody can bennifit from wathcing it especially if you haven't built your own hotspot before.

This production shows both the hardware build and software (pi-star) configuration to set up your hotspot for DMR, however , it doesn't provide instructions to edit your radio code plug. It assumes you understand DMR, have a valid code plug, and can update it with the frequencies you'll program your hotspot to send and receive on.

This is a duplex hotspot and can send and receive on both time slot 1 and time slot 2 simultaneously, so once you set it up it is recommended you program your favorite talk groups on both talk group 1 and talk group 2 on separate zones so you can experience the full bennifit of the duplex hotspot. i.e. If you key into a busy talk group on time slot 1 and because it never goes quiet you can't key out, simply switch over to your time slot 2 zone and you can select any of your favorite talk groups and key right in. It's like having two hotspots at your finger tips.

This video documents the second time I've built this paticular hotspot. So, after the first sucsessful build, I had some limited experience and insight into to the hardware and software required to make it work. However, because I did not reherse the build prior to filming I've added onscreen notes designed to provide additional informatin or corrections that I erroneously mention or fail to mention in the video.
