C a N y O u B e A t Pokemon Radical Red with only Normal types?! Monotype response video

It’s great to be back to Pokemon Radical Red, a brilliant game, and today I’m doing something I’ve never done before, I have decided to do a monotype run, while I wouldn’t do this usually, Radical Red is a rare exception where this is a fun way to play the game, because of the enormous amount of strategy and options, along with the very high difficulty of the game, the strategy and team building is what makes this fun. In this video I’ll be doing a mono normal type run. I did get this idea from Zwiggo, in which this video will be responding to, I barely ever watch his content but because it’s radical I watched a small portion of the video. Basically he tried a mono normal and got destroyed so badly he had to quit the run, stating it was too hard and that the game wasn’t ‘healthy’ what?! I mean Dark rising probably isn’t healthy. I strongly disagree with this casual mindset, along with all these dumb comments I got on my review of people who didn’t pay attention to the video, people who complain that this game is ‘too hard’ to the point of being unfair, and that they can’t be bothered to EV train, which is not only wrong but a dumb argument. Yes the game is much harder than normal pokemon games, but the game literally gives you everything you need to win, a massive pool of pokemon, easily accessible moves, competitive items, and faster ways to breed,

from what I saw Zwiggo quit his attempt but he literally had no idea what he was doing and no offence but was playing...well...badly, he clearly didn’t read the changelog for the game, which the developer himself says you’re supposed to do because of the sheer amount of balance changes this game has, had he done so he’d know that normal types like furret, swellow and girafarig are insanely buffed, his mono normal team wasn’t even built well, he didn’t bring a mega evolution for some reason, if only you could get access to a normal mega that’s completely broken and meta defining...oh. And didn’t really bother to bring specific counters to the difficult boss fights, and most importantly, he literally said that he didn’t EV train properly as he didn’t know how to do it which is just baffling, first, he’s a poketuber who specialises on ‘pokemon challenges’ yet doesn’t know how to EV train, what!? Has this man never used pokemon showdown in his life? Second of all, expecting to beat this game without ev training is practically suicide, but third and most importantly, there’s not really any excuse for not EV training as the mechanic got buffed to the point where flipping donkey can figure out how to do it, it takes literally 3 minutes to max out a pokemon’s EV values completely, the power items got crazy buffed so you’ll gain so many EV values, it’s your own responsibility to EV train your team,

but even if you’re either too dumb, or simply not experienced enough to EV train, then did you know that you can google how to do it and learn EV training in like 2 minutes of reading? Now there’s an idea. The main point is that the game isn’t unfairly hard, it’s actually very streamlined and convenient to play, but it just requires some strategy and preparation, that’s all. If you can’t be bothered to spend a couple minutes EV training then that’s on you, it’s annoying when people blame their incompetence or lack of knowledge on the game. To be fair Zwiggo admitted to being more casual and admitted that the game is great, but just not for him, which there’s nothing wrong with, I’m not roasting or anything, well maybe a little...Damn it need to resist the temptation to roast! The moral of the story is that it’s fine to be casual OR competitive, just don’t take shit out of context.
