Washout Tips With Edie | Ikonart Custom Stencils

Hello Ikonart Crafters! Today we are covering the different ways to easily washout your exposed Ikonart Stencils. The length of time it takes to washout your stencil will depend on how much pressure you have available. The higher the pressure, the faster the washout. In this video Edie covers the three most common methods to washout your stencils.
.
Kitchen Sink Method: Simply washout your exposed Ikonart Stencil under warm water in your kitchen sink or laundry tub. Make sure you are not under bright lights or sunlight, which could expose your stencils before you are done washing them out.
.
TriggerJet Method: We highly recommend utilizing the TriggerJet Spray Nozzle (available on our website), which is easy to use with a standard garden hose or faucet adapter and washes out your film much quicker compared to the kitchen sink method because of the higher pressure and flat spray trajectory.
.
Shower Method: If you have a sprayer in your shower, it probably has higher pressure than your kitchen sink. Try taking your stencils to your shower for a faster washout. This is the method Edie uses at home!
.
Washout Booth or Automated Washout Machine Method: If you're expanding your shop or ramping up your stencil production into high-gear, you may want to consider a washout booth to use with your TriggerJet Nozzle or even better, an automated washout machine. Contact Edie for detailed information on these two options.
