MYSORE ROYAL JEWELS

This video particularly upholds and supports our modern vision of ' Make in India'. This video shows some of the exquisite jewels from the royal family of Mysore, the House of Wodeyar. They are still in possession of the jewels. These fine craftsmanship is dated back to the 14th century Vijayanagar Kingdom era. The particular jewels on display in the video are made public only once a year, ie. during Navratri for the worship of Mata Chamundeshwari. Well Industrial Revolution entered only in 19th century in India but very much prior to that, Indian craftsmanship had reached the highest category of finesses in the end polished product with just some simple hand tools. It is a myth that the British brought polished finesses to finished products in India.

These gold jewelry were made from the abundant gold that was once found in the Kolar gold mines of Karnataka and the diamonds studded were from Golkondaa. Superior design and motifs and highly eyecatching. India is still the 'Sone ki Chidiya'. #wodeyar #mysore #matachamundeshwari #goldjewelry #makeinindia #luxuryjewels #indianroyalty
