This Innocent baby elephant had lost his way due to the death of its mother. Being isolated in the jungle for few days it had gone to the village. This incident had been informed to the wild life officers by some villagers. Then the wildlife officers had immediately reached the place and captured the calf and transported to the Athathuru Sewana Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawwe for further treatments. After the baby elephant had been fully recovered and then it had been safely released back to the jungle again after a period of six years. The villagers and the wildlife officers who made a great contribution to save the life of this innocent baby elephant should gratefully be thanked.
