On September 11, 2001, Michael Hingson and his guide dog, Roselle, were on the 78th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Michael had been blind from birth. Roselle, a Labrador Retriever, was his trusted companion, there to guide him each day. That morning, the pair had to travel down 1,463 steps in darkness to survive the heinous attacks on the Twin Towers. This is the story of Michael and Roselle.
