What's Next For Indonesian Football After Deadly Stampede? | CNA Correspondent | Full Episode

Football hooliganism is a long-standing problem in Indonesia. In October 2022, the country's worst football tragedy saw 135 people killed and hundreds others injured at the Kanjuruhan stadium. A year on, survivors and victims' families are still seeking closure. Some also question if justice has been served to negligent police officers.

The country's football governing body hopes to transform the sport by renovating stadiums and enforcing rules more strictly. Fan clubs are also working to manage the rivalry between different teams. But with Indonesia due to host the FIFA Under-17 World Cup, are these efforts enough? CNA Correspondent takes a closer look at the future of Indonesian football - and how hope in the beautiful game may lie in the next generation.
