‘Up Jumps da Boogie’ was released on July 11, 1997 by Timbaland & Magoo, who were at the time known as Magoo and Timbaland. The song served as the debut single from their debut studio album ‘Welcome to Our World’ and features Aaliyah and Missy Elliot. The track uses a sample of ‘Boogie Nights’ by Heatwave and was produced by Timbaland who also wrote it along with Magoo and Missy. ‘Up Jumps da Boogie’ was certified gold and peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and number 1 on the Hot Rap Singles chart.
