Meghan Markle’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, 81, has been rushed to a hospital in the Philippines for emergency surgery. His family asks the public to keep him in their thoughts as he battles a life-threatening condition.

Thomas underwent a three-hour surgery and is now in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Doctors also plan a follow-up procedure to remove a dangerous blood clot.

Thomas Markle Jr., his son, described the situation as “life-threatening” and requested prayers for his father’s recovery.

Thomas has a history of serious health issues, including heart problems and prior strokes, making this hospitalization particularly concerning. He moved to Cebu Island, Philippines in 2025, seeking a quieter life and a more affordable lifestyle after living in Rosarito, Mexico.
