### 1. *Using an address you can’t receive mail at*
AdSense mails a physical PIN to your address. If you use your channel name, a fake address, or your friend’s address and you’re not there to collect it, the PIN never gets to you.
After 3 failed attempts, Google locks PIN verification and you’ll have to verify with ID later, which takes longer.

*Avoid it*: Use the exact address on your ID where you can sign for mail. No shortcuts.

### 2. *Requesting multiple PINs too fast*
You’re only allowed 3 PIN requests. A lot of people request one, it doesn’t arrive in 2 weeks, so they request another immediately. That resets the timer and wastes one of your 3 tries.
