Namibia officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in Southern Africa. its western border is the Atlantic Ocean, it shares land borders with Zambia and Angola, Botswana and South Africa. Although it does not border Zimbabwe, less than 200 meters of the Zambezi River separates the two countries. Namibia gained independence from South Africa on 21 March 1990, following the Namibian War of Independence. Its capital and largest city is Windhoek, and it is a member state of the United Nations, the Southern African Development Community, the African Union, and the Commonwealth of Nations.

Namibia has a population of 2.6 million people spread over a land area of 825,615km 2and its capital city is Windhoek. The large, arid Namib Desert has resulted in Namibia being overall one of the least densely populated countries in the world but also one of the most visited. Of the many places visitors always crave for in Namibia, here are the 10 best places to visit while in Namibia.
10. Epupa Falls
Lying in the border between Angola and Namibia is one of the best places to visit in Namibia in the Kaokoland region, The Epupa Falls. The falls are originated by Kunene river and they cover almost a mile. Even though Epupa Falls are a bit hard to reach owing to limited conveyance options as it is accessible only by4×4 vehicles, the place still is one of the most-loved destinations in Namibia. Surrounding the falls are colored rock formations, palm trees and fig trees. Most travelers who visit Epupa Falls opt to stay overnight in one of the surrounding lodges. If you want to add some adrenaline to your day, you can also try out some whitewater rafting along the river.
9. The Cape Cross Seal Colony
Cape Cross is famous for two reasons: seals, and Portuguese exploration. It was at this headland that celebrated Portuguese explorer Diogo Câo landed on the Namibian shoreline in 1486 who was tasked with finding an important trade route around Africa to India by his king. He established his country’s claim to the territory by erecting a stone pillar topped with a cross called a padrâo.At first sight the beach appears blanketed in thick black sand, the wriggling shapes of over 100,000 fur seals only becoming clear as you move closer.This is the world’s largest breeding colony of Cape fur seals, who flock here to mate and take advantage of the rich supply of fish in the currents. Wander along the boardwalk and take in the sights and sounds of this unique community as they frolic in the turquoise water, and warm themselves in the Namibian sunshine.

There are several fantastic ways to view and experience Fish River Canyon Park in person.The landscape is surreal, and the best part is that the canyon has a few hiking trails for those who want to enjoy adventure and the trailscan suit everyone from beginners to experienced hikers. You can also take a scenic flight over the top of the canyon or even go for a swim right in the Fish River.
