Scuttle vs. the rubber ducky

We don't know what this poor rubber ducky to make penguin Scuttle upset. But hopefully they made up afterward....

Actually what was happening...
Our penguin Scuttle had fun playing with his new rubber ducky. This is just one small part of the enrichment the animals receive at the Zoo. Enrichment items offer animals choices and control, and bring out natural behaviors.

Scuttle is getting some exercise and playtime, and learning a skill. For Scuttle, being able to roll an egg under himself is an important skill to have. It will help him raise the next generation of African black footed penguins when he has a mate in the future.
