The Ship and the Sword of the Marquis de Lafayette

Lafayette College archivist Diane Shaw and Miles Young, worldwide chairman and chief executive of Ogilvy & Mather and president of Friends of Hermione-Lafayette in America, discuss the sword of the Marquis de Lafayette, which the College has in its special collections. Young also cites his role in promoting the replica of the Marquis' ship Hermione, which just sailed from France to the United States, where events at 11 ports of call are celebrating the ship's journey and the Marquis' role in helping win the Revolutionary War.
