How to tone yellow, brassy or orange hair with blue or purple dye! THIS ACTUALLY WORKS

Here's a quick tutorial on how to use a purple or blue hair dye to tone brassy orange or yellow hair. It often works better than toner as the dye is more pigmented, so its especially great if you have dark brassy tones that wont budge!

*I AM NOT A HAIRDRESSER* Anything I do is from trial and error and experience and a fair bit of common sense!
Keep in mind the colour of the mixture and how long you leave it on for will depend on the colour of your hair.

--- If your hair is more yellow than brassy I'd recommend using more of a purple colour as the blue is likely to turn it slightly green rather than ashy. ---

I used Schwarzkopf Live Color Ultra Bright Electric Blue and L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Re-Balancing Conditioner.
