I’m sharing a traditional Gujarati sweet recipe – Surti Baras (Sweet Vermicelli Sev) 😍
This is a simple, old-style homemade dessert that tastes soft, sweet, and absolutely delicious.
In this recipe, we roast vermicelli in ghee until golden, then cook it with sugar and water to get the perfect texture. You can cut it into pieces or enjoy it directly in a bowl.

🧾 Ingredients:
Vermicelli (Seviyan)
Ghee
Sugar
Water
👩‍🍳 Method:
Break the vermicelli into small pieces.
Heat ghee in a pan and roast the vermicelli until golden brown.
Add hot water and mix well.
Add sugar and cook, adding a little more water if needed.
Cook on low flame until ghee starts to release.
Transfer to a plate, spread it, let it cool, and cut into pieces.
