Bill Found Meaning Volunteering At Morning Light And Helping The Terminally Ill

For more than a year Bill has spent time with our residents, sharing conversations, listening, and sometimes simply sitting alongside someone who needs a little company.

“I just talk to people,” he says.

But sometimes, that simple act of being fully present can mean everything.

“The opportunity to be sitting with people and being able to be fully present is a blessing. It’s so enriching.”

For Bill, Morning Light has become what he describes as “a sacred place,” and his invitation to anyone thinking about volunteering is simple:

“Spend some time here at Morning Light just being who you are. You don’t need any special skills to make a difference here. Sometimes, simply being there is enough.
