Christmas Crack Recipe
Ingredients:
Saltine crackers
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup crushed pecans (optional)
Direction:
Preheat oven to 400F/200C. Line baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and spray it with cooking spray. Arrange crackers on cookie sheet, set aside. In a saucepan, add butter and brown sugar, stir on low heat until butter is completely melted. Once it starts boiling, cook stirring constantly for 3 min. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Pour the hot toffee on top of the crackers and spread it around to coat. Pop it in the oven for 5 min. Take the tray out and scatter the chocolate chips over the hot crackers. Leave it for few seconds then with a spatula spread the softened chocolate all over the crackers. Sprinkle the chopped pecans and leave it to cool. Pop it in the fridge for couple of hours. Break it into pieces and serve.
