Massive 8-foot anaconda found in Brazilian public swimming site

A yellow anaconda measuring about 8 feet (2.5 meters) appeared at a popular bathing spot in Porto Grande, in Brazil's Amapá state. Residents filmed the snake and alerted the fire department, which arrived and safely captured the animal before relocating it to a flooded area away from the urban zone.

The yellow anaconda, one of the largest snakes in the world, is common across the Amazon region's rivers and wetlands, and while its size can be alarming, it is non-venomous, killing prey by coiling around them and cutting off circulation.
