I love Eric Carle books! The art, the prose, the simplicity wrapped up in elegant packages.

I love big/insect themes and as a bilingual teacher, learning all the names of these bugs in not one, but two languages, is tricky!

I borrowed this simple idea from the Brown Bear, Brown Bear book by Bill Martin Jr and Eric Carle and used some of the insects we sing about. You could use this same idea for any animal, bird or sea creature too!
