This video covers the fact that there are different types of trusts available to people who want to place money outside of their Estate for inheritance tax purposes and that there is one Trust in particular that suits most people.
However, it is not a well-known type of inheritance tax avoidance Trust, and therefore not advised by many inexperienced advisers in dealing with inheritance tax. Certainly, it tends to unknown by most solicitors. This type of inheritance tax solution is called a Flexible Reversionary Discretionary Trust.
The video goes on to explain how this Flexible Reversionary Trust works for inheritance tax purposes and why it suits the vast majority of clients who have money that they wish to place outside of their Estate.
The main benefit is they can have all the money outside of their Estate for Inheritance tax purposes but still have the ability to get that money back, should they require it for long term care or any other reason.
