Events in the First stage of Labour | Physiology in 1st stage of Normal Labour | Nursing Lecture

Physiological events in the first stage of Labour is explained here, where the 2 events that are -

1.Dilatation and Effacement of the cervix
Responsible Factors for dilatation are-
- Uterine contractions (Polarity of the uterus)
- Bag of Forewater
- Fetal axis pressure

2. Formation of the lower uterine segment
The upper active segment becomes thicker and the progressive thinning of the lower segment.
