Me (GSTAR321) doing a live commentary and playthrough of Mortal Kombat Outworld Assassins (OpenBOR).

OpenBOR is an engine upon which 2D side-scrolling beat-em-ups are made. Think of it as the 'MUGEN' of beat-em-ups.

Mortal Kombat has made the transition into OpenBOR in the form of this game here: Mortal Kombat Outworld Assassins (including other OpenBOR games such as 'Mortal Kombat Unlimited').

This is a blast to play; it incorporates 'Streets Of Rage 2' gameplay set in the Mortal Kombat universe. Play as either Sub-Zero, Scorpion or Noob Saibot, and go on a non-stop killing spree dispatching enemies using combos, throws, special moves, weapons and fatalities, in order to recover the ancient Rune Stone Amulet.

The game is enjoyable and has a certain charm to it, but it does become repetitious with subsequent playthroughs.
