The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
On August 27, 2025, South Africa Today reports that a cut-off low will drift over central Namibia, setting the stage for an impactful weather event. Expect to see an array of scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms developing across Namibia, Botswana, and the northern sections of the Northern Cape Province. As the system progresses, it is predicted to extend its reach further southward into tomorrow, bringing much-needed moisture to these areas. While most regions across SA will continue to experience warm to hot temperatures, a shift in weather will get cooler conditions to the southwestern parts. However, it's very important to note that certain areas are under dire fire danger warnings, with extremely high fire danger conditions anticipated in the Northern Cape Province, Free State Province, Eastern Cape Province, and KwaZulu-Natal Province. Residents are urged to remain vigilant as these conditions pose significant risks.
