AMENO RESEDÁ (WELSON TREMURA) Brazilian Music Institute

Ameno Resedá, this Brazilian polka, was first published in 1913 by Casa Arthur Napoleão (Sampaio, Araújo & Cia.) and dedicated to the carnival “ranchos” of the same name. It is one of the best-known pieces by Nazareth. It was recorded for the first time by Grupo do Louro in 1914, and since then, it has received dozens of recordings throughout Brazil and elsewhere. Here is our arrangement with the Brazilian Music Institute instructors during a Miami, Florida concert.

Welson Tremura (cavaquinho) – James Gasior (piano) and Bryan Hayslett (cello) – Vadim Arsky Fillho (saxophone) – Aaron Colverson (violin) – Rafael Abdalla (bass) - Randy Lee (trumpet) – Kenneth Metzer (percussion)
