Graves, Graffiti and Giant Granite boulders! - Zennor circular walk, Cornwall

We wanted to find out if there was more to Zennor than the Mermaid of Zennor story - and there is! Our walk instructions say 'Traverse the Cornish coast's front line, defiantly facing the mighty Atlantic Ocean'

Our exploration of the churchyard showed some fascinating stories and posed even more questions. We left the graveyard to follow the old 'coffin path', reputed to be one of the oldest pathways in Cornwall and thought to be dating back to Roman times. Along the way we make some discoveries of our more recent past, including some 1st class graffiti!

This 5.5 mile circular walk takes us out to the coast and we head back to Zennor. With the coast path stretch having a fearsome reputation for its difficulty. The views were unsurpassable as we scrambled over huge granite boulders with steep descents and ascents towards Zennor.

All finished up with a delicious ice cream at the Moomaid of Zennor!

Many thanks to CWT viewers, Anthony & Linda for providing us with the walk book!

The standard description bit…
We are Sarah and Andrew and we film our walks around Cornwall and publish on YouTube. Occasionally we stay in accommodation in Cornwall and upload our vlog.

Frequency asked questions:
What camera do we use?
Since December 2018 we have used a Canon Powershot G7x MkII

How do I find the books you use?
Most are still in print although some we pick up in charity shops and may be available on Amazon secondhand. Please refer to the video for the titles. Every video shows the book three times. Sorry but we can’t put a link in every description.

Best time of year to visit Cornwall?
We love May, June for flora and fauna, July and September for spectacular scenery.
