New Seat TARRACO FR 2020 Review Interior Exterior.

In the FR equipment, the large SEAT SUV appears even more sporty and determined with a number of changes to the body and chassis. These include a sporty front and rear apron, wider wheel arches and rims that are half an inch wider. This also increases the tire width by two centimeters, which results in noticeably richer road holding.

The standard rim size of the SEAT Tarraco is 19 inches, and 20-inch models can also be ordered as an option - painted in the new FR accent color Cosmo Gray and then front polished. The exterior mirror caps, the sporty roof spoiler, the grille frame and trim elements on the doors as well as the front and rear aprons are also painted in the new accent color.

The typical FR design continues in the interior. Sports bucket seats with an integrated headrest are installed as standard. The driver's seat is also electrically adjustable and offers a memory function. Another highlight is the new sports steering wheel with the FR logo, which for the first time makes operating the driver assistance systems even easier with buttons on the steering wheel. The interior is rounded off with FR exclusive aluminum-look sports pedals.

Introducing the FR trim to the Tarraco will enhance the large SUVs desirability yet further, and bring new levels of sportiness to its character.

The exterior design has been enhanced, with wider wheel arches, a sporty rear spoiler and FR-specific 19” alloy wheels, with an option to have machined 20” wheels available. As well as these changes, at the front, the FR grille proudly houses the SEAT badge; at the back, the coast-to-coast rear light highlights the FR look and the all-body painted exterior emphasises its dynamism. The sportier expression of the Tarraco FR is its name, now embossed in handwriting.

A new colour – Fura Grey – underlines the changes to the exterior and brings additional options to customers to help personalise their vehicle further. The Tarraco also improves in safety and practicality.

New options include trailer assist – which makes towing considerably easier, and reduce the likelihood users will encounter difficulties when parking. Add to this the Parking Heater, a system that allow you to warm the engine and vehicle faster in extremely cold weather, and the Tarraco becomes an even more practical vehicle.

Inside, the interior space has been shrewdly sculptured to heighten the impression of comfort with SEAT’s latest generation infotainment system including a new navigation system with 9.2’’ screen, increasing the SUV’s levels of digitalisation to optimise driver feedback and passenger connectivity.

Front occupants now benefit from electric sports bucket seats with memory function (for the driver side). The bucket seats have a combination of the sportiness of a neoprene look material and the sophistication of an art craft leather work for the confort area. In addition, the driver benefits from aluminium pedals and a new sports steering wheel with FR logo.

The introduction of the FR trim and advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain positions the SEAT Tarraco as one of the sportiest, most efficient models in the large SUV segment, combining state-of-the-art connectivity systems, convenience and assistance systems, design and styling. Start of production of the FR trim and of the PHEV version will take place during the course of 2020.

The FR exterior body styling DNA fuses performance, practicality and sporty-appeal that perfectly suits their needs. The Tarraco FR comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, the more aggressive FR body styling kit – featuring the dynamic twin exhaust, unique rear spoiler, front and rear sports bumper, as well as black mouldings, wing mirrors and roof rails. The cabin benefits from front sports seats as well as an electric driver’s seat.

The FR Sport takes things another step forwards, with the car planted on arch-filling 20-inch ‘Cosmo’ grey alloy wheels and benefitting from black leather sports seats inside.

The FR Sport also gets an extra technology boost, with rear and top-view cameras offering better all-round visibility and safety, while SEAT’s winter pack adds heated washer nozzles while the occupants can enjoy heated front and rear seats.

Both models also receive SEAT’s self-parking Park Assist system which adds front parking sensors.

All this equipment comes on top of the already generous standard of specification available across the Tarraco line-up. All models receive automatic full LED headlamps, SEAT Digital Cockpit – which includes the 10.25-inch digital driver binnacle and 8-inch full-colour infotainment touchscreen – Full Link, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a USB socket in all three rows of seats.
