EMOTIONAL LABOR: Caretaking of the Narcissists in Your Life - Debruary 2020

Emotional Labor - that unpaid, unacknowledged work women do to take care of everyone around them is up for discussion on Day 19 of video-a-day Debruary 2020. Listen to this video and think about the ways you provide emotional labor to the people around you (most likely narcissists), and make immediate changes.

Women are fed the lines that we are "innately" more feminine, which means more intuitive, more nurturing, more loving, more empathetic, and more supportive than men are. This belief is false, and such femininity tips nothing but a setup for a narcissist to come rolling into into your life.

Women have negative emotions and the desire NOT to always be the listening ear, providing maternal succor and advice to everyone around us. Unfortunately, we've been socialized to believe if we turn down others, we won't be viewed as "nice" and people won't like us.

In reality, this emotional labor is exhausting and leaves millions of women emotionally, physically, psychologically and physically drained. It's time for women to learn what emotional labor is, and how you perform these tasks without even thinking about or questioning what you are doing and why.
