CIW Instigators: Dan Savage, "It Gets Better"

Queer kids are at 4x greater risk of suicide than their straight peers. When their families are hostile and disapproving, that kid is at 8x greater risk. And the queer kid who most desperately needs a gay support group is the one with parents who would never give them permission to go. Through the It Gets Better Project, Dan Savage found a way to speak directly to those kids in order to save lives, whether parents like it or not.
