How A Small Job Made Us Want A New Van

We’re up in sunny Scotland helping our friends with their new ex-Network Rail van — and this one came with some serious kit already inside! In this video, we tackle a full dash cam install using the 70mai A810 4K dash cam system, including a front camera, internal camera, 4G module, app setup, parking surveillance, and a separate power pack so the system can keep recording without draining the van battery.

Of course, as always, a “simple job” doesn’t stay simple for long… the van battery gives up halfway through, so we end up replacing that too before getting everything working properly.

We also take a look around Steve and Laney’s incredible van build, including their huge lounge space, rear patio doors, drop-down bed, clever storage, kitchen setup, spice rack, lighting, and loads of inspiration for anyone thinking about building a Luton van or larger camper conversion.
