This poem highlights the factors responsible for Industrial Revolution and its short term and long term effects.
Essence:-
Industrial Revolution was witnessed at the time when the people began respecting the age-old texts and that which enriched and justified the perceived domination of their language. There were large scale upskilling of the common people and was complimented by the call to ensure progress. With these procedures laid down as norms, the enlightenment came as Industrial Revolution in both cause and effect.
This revolution witnessed a social change metaphorized by the sweat of hard labour, the lores of the prevalent socio-economic change and description of the transitioned nature of the socio-economic order in essence.
The cause of the revolution at the outset is associated with scientific inventions and innovations. But the underlying socio-political demands triggered Industrial Revolution. This includes the need to improve trade surplus, to sustain mercantilist ambitions and accumulate wealth, to expound their supremacy in science to rationalise their colonial and imperial ambitions and to maintain their authority and hegemony.
The effects of Industrial Revolution stem from the essentiality of the scientific inventions. With the advancement of industrial mode of production and the rise of welfare states, the long term implications of the scientific inventions and innovations encompassing Industrial Revolution is to reduce harm and theorise laws for a sustainable future. This seems imminent to save this Earth from expulsion and exposure of waste of all sorts. Thus, the efforts of the scientific, societal and economic constructs post Industrial Revolution aims to foster a balance between economy and environment to minimise the imbalances caused due to the previous neglect of human - nature bond.
